Up to 480 hp in the Audi S3 MTM Clubsport (2021)

The new year begins on the part MTM engine technology Mayer right away with a real cracker! Because the tuner from Wettstetten provided the new one Audi S3 (Type 8Y) into the limelight. As is well known, like its predecessor, it unfortunately has not the dreamlike VW EA855evo five-cylinder under the hood. That makes the A3 an absolute rocket. And that, although surprisingly compared to the predecessor RS 3 (8V) it was only 20 NM has increased. Thanks to various improvements, including the 7-speed S tronic, the new model still accelerates a good 0,3 seconds faster to country road speeds. Furthermore, the RS3 achieved last year quite incidentally 7: 40,748 minutes sogar a new record for compact cars on the Nordschleife. This was made possible by a generally significantly improved driving dynamics and the five-cylinder engine mentioned. There is no approach with the S3, or maybe there is? Naturally! And with the help of MTM.

MTM makes the S3 the ultimate RS3 killers! Although the current S3 is already a fun venture in series production, what MTM makes of it is quite a few floors darüb is to settle Because the MTM S3 Clubsport, with the VW EA888 four-cylinder and well over 400 hp under the hood makes the supposed RS 3 top model look old.

Although MTM does not install an extra cylinder, it uses its own performance increase but the two-liter four-cylinder can go well beyond the 400 hp of the RS 3 if desired. This is impressively demonstrated with one python yellow Specimen with bright green Accents. From an optical point of view, however, it got more than just one foiling lost. A fat one shows up in front front splitter and at the stern a mighty one roof spoiler. Of course, both are made of carbon. This is joined by a colour-coordinated one MTM Bimoto wheel set in 19-inch format and for a befitting Lowering, as well as even more driving dynamics, is a fully adjustable coilover from the house of KW Variant 3 installed. That was removed at the rear Audi emblem and instead shows up on the right side of the tailgate MTM lettering.

a completely different cabin in the S3

And just as radical as the optics on the outside is also the Cabin. MTM throws them backseat of the S3 and uses the space gained for an extensive one Roll cage. But that's not even the highlight of the interior. Those are definitely them Recaro Podium carbon bucket seats with the striking upholstery based on the paintwork on the outside of the vehicle. The seating is in high-quality carbon fiber and should even have a certain long-distance suitability. But let's get to the most important thing: the increase in performance! The aforementioned standard 310 hp of the 2,0-liter turbo engine can be upgraded in four stages in up to 480 PS tired. Stage 1 installs MTM as pure software chip tuning (m-cantronic) and mobilizes with it 360 PS. With Stage 2 you install additional ones down pipes and already achieved 380 PS, and thus 40 horses more than the first RS 3 (Type 8P). Stage 3 adds an optimized one to the mentioned components aspiration and opens the S3 430 PS strengthen. This is already well above the current RS 3!

Stage 4 comes with revised loaders

The last stage, so Stage 4, includes a revised one for all changes to the previous expansion stages turbocharger. The result is then the already mentioned maximum 480 PS. You can only be equipped like this 3,2 seconds from 0-100 km / h and after only 10,7 seconds the sound barrier of 200 kilometers per hour has been broken. So you can just leave the 600 hp RS 6 behind. The sound of the S3 is acoustically underpinned by a Milltek sports exhaust system, which is available in various variants and which has tailpipes in series optics on the vehicle from the video. "MTM usual" allowed again the YouTuber "Motor OliTVTry the S3 and it impressively shows the top speed, the 0 to 100 km/h sprint and the 100-200 km/h discipline.
