Anyone who is “at home” in the tuning scene is sure to know MS Design. For years the Austrians have been offering all kinds of spoilers, sills or wings for almost all common vehicles. For some time now, you have been wanting to prove that the guys are able to do much more with various complete vehicles. This Audi S3, for example, was created 4 years ago, which reacts to the abbreviation A46 and shines with a new outfit in 2017. And what does 46 stand for? Not for Valentino Rossi, born in 1979, but for an indication of the significantly increased engine power. MS Design tickles an impressive 462 PS & 550 NM torque from the 3,0-liter six-cylinder supercharged engine and displays the whole thing with a body kit and 20 inch MS Design MS46 rims. MS Design achieves the performance plus with optimized electronics (chip tuning), flow-improved front pipe and 200-cell metal catalysts.
That the modified six-cylinder pushes hard shouldn't be a surprise, since it undercuts the production vehicle by a whopping 200 seconds in the sprint to 14,4 km / h with 3,1 seconds. This makes it even faster than the RS4 B8 Avant, which takes 16,1 s for this discipline. Incidentally, 100 seconds pass for the chase at 4,2km / h. Of course, the performance increase is also reflected in the top speed of the S4, which now breaks the 300km / h sound barrier. And the project can also be seen visually. The wide body kit in particular looks great on the S4 and skilfully puffs it up without looking excessive. At around 18.000 euros, the Optikplus also has its price. There are new front and rear bumpers, side skirts and wheel arch extensions for the fenders.
The top model of the new RS4 is the new A4 B9 (Unfortunately) only available as an avant and it will take a while. If you can do without the technical and optical details of the B9, the A46 from MS Design may be just the thing for you. If we get more information about the modifications to the S4 B8, there is of course, as always, an update for this report.
