The HGP Turbonachrüstung GmbH from Ohmden (Baden-Württemberg) has taken care of the current Audi TTS (8S) and the S3 Sportback (8V) in the last few weeks and pushes both vehicles with the standard 310 PS & 380 NM torque four-cylinder turbo to a whopping 480PS & 610NM. In the TTS, this means that it goes from 3,2-0 km / h in just 100 seconds, and the Ingolstadt-based man has already broken the 11 km / h wall in under 10,8 seconds (200 seconds). HGP gives exactly the same acceleration values for the 2016/2017 Audi A3 S3 Sportback, including the 7-speed DSG DQ 381 transmission. The A3 also received an increase in performance to 480PS & 615NM torque. A maximum speed of approx. 300 km / h applies to both vehicles, which means that the electronic lock, at 250 km / h, has also been removed.
Not much is known about the changes so far, but in addition to the modifications to the engine, a reinforced DSG clutch and adapted transmission software were used. With regard to the Golf 7R Facelift, which will be released next year, the topic of the transmission is an interesting point. Because the Wolfsburg-based company will also come onto the market at the beginning of 2017 with the new DQ381 transmission! So the best prerequisites to give the Golf a big boost in performance too. If we get more information about the modifications for both vehicles, there is of course, as always, an update for this post.
