It's hard to believe but this BMW E30 has a 1JZ Turbo Swap under the hood. And we're pretty surprised! Because the 1JZ is actually less popular than the 2JZ. Both are incredible engines with a lot of potential using turbochargers, that's clear, but the 1JZ is used much less often in various conversions. And in a "normal" E30 with around 100 hp ex works, we have honestly never seen the engine. The old E30 316i with 1JZ Toyota six-cylinder has a huge turbocharger and there have been a few other changes such as a meth kit, special software and of course a roaring sports exhaust system. The gearbox also had to be changed and so an E36 5-speed manual gearbox moved into the over 400 PS & 500 NM strong 1JZ-E30. And how the part goes, especially with regard to the low weight, goes without saying. Other changes are new aprons, new headlights with LED daytime running lights, new BBS alloy wheels with Continental tires and the chassis has been renewed and is now from KW.
