The following video is arguably one of the most ironic of all. A drag race that involves a BMW E46 M3 "without“3,2-liter in-line six-cylinder (S54) under the hood shows. Instead, the Munich-based company has installed the legendary 2JZ six-cylinder from the old Supra, which generates a good 500 PS and 580 Nm with a little tuning. There was also a sequential gearbox and a few other mods. And on the other side is a Supra “with” a BMW engine. The MKV series with BMW B58 engine from the Z4 M40i. The B58 six-cylinder makes 340 PS & 500 NM. However, we know that in series production it is sometimes significantly more effective, as the countless dyno videos on the web show. For this purpose, the Supra has installed the well-known 8-speed automatic. By the way, both vehicles have made a few visual changes such as new alloy wheels, subtle lowering and a few bodywork add-on parts. The highlight, however, is definitely the 2JZ-GTE motorswap in the M3. The result? Check it out!

About Thomas Wachsmuth

Thomas Wachsmuth - He has been an integral part of tuningblog.eu since 2013. His passion for cars is so intense that he invests every available penny in them. While he dreams of a BMW E31 850CSI and a Hennessey 6x6 Ford F-150, he currently drives a rather inconspicuous BMW 540i (G31/LCI). His collection of books, magazines and brochures on the subject of car tuning has now reached such proportions that he himself has become a walking reference work for the tuning scene.  More about Thomas
