BMW is currently imposing a delivery stop for the models M3 / M4 (G80 / G82) due to engine problems! A faulty one is supposed to be Supplier part be to blame. The main bearings work as a mount for the crankshaft and they are lubricated with the engine oil. In this way, friction-intensive contacts are avoided. At least in theory. Because hardly any manufacturer can guarantee this 100%. And in the case of BMW are probably with Coating process from the base material now abnormalities surfaced. They should, however affect only 35 vehicles. At least that's what a BMW spokesman told the magazine Car engine sports. And apparently the problem also ends not in a recall. So we keep our fingers crossed so that the 35 customers receive their vehicles as quickly as possible.
