Experience even more "M-Motions" in curves! With the G80 and G82, BMW M3 and M4 started the next generation of models in 2021: But the predecessors F80 (sedan), F82 (coupé) and F83 (convertible) are far from being old in terms of driving dynamics. The legendary BILSTEIN B16, which of course comes with a TÜV certificate, shows what you can still get out of the old platform, especially when cornering. As a track performance suspension, it has an absolutely dynamic damper identification for the sportiest articulation behavior and significantly reduced rolling and pitching. Nevertheless it is fully suitable for everyday use due to its harmonious coordination. The tires and wheel arches also fit perfectly so that no technical problems are to be expected. The BILSTEIN B16 is available for all three body versions and, in the DampTronic® variant, even supports the electronic damper adjustment EDC, which is offered ex works. Of course, there are also some other interesting chassis features.
for BMW M3 / M4 (G80 / G82)
As a coilover kit, the BILSTEIN B16 offers a lowering of the M3 and M4 by 30 to 40 mm on the front and 5 to 25 mm on the rear axle. The values can be varied at any time in the installed state - thanks to the entered adjustment range even completely unbureaucratic without renewed acceptance. The real highlight is the mechanical parallel adjustment of rebound and compression stages, which is possible at any time, using an adjustment wheel with ten clearly noticeable clicks. Another plus are lightweight aluminum components in the spring plate and lock nut, which keep the unsprung masses low. If you prefer the current model with the BMW M3 (G80) or M4 (G82), you can look forward to a generation change in terms of the chassis. Because the BILSTEIN development department in Ennepetal is already working flat out on a completely new solution from the EVO Performance Line. Stay tuned!
