The Team of Dinan Engineering has developed a sports exhaust system for the currently most powerful 3 Series - the BMW M340i. And the previous M3 G80 "replacement" sounds outrageously good. And the system is not just an upgrade of the rear silencer, it goes right up to the catalytic converter. The system gives the M340i significantly more sound. The 4 larger tailpipes, which can be installed either in ceramic black or with a polished surface, immediately catch the eye. The entire system is made of stainless steel and the connecting pipes are also significantly larger at 76 mm, compared to the standard 70 mm. According to Dinan, the new exhaust should allow an additional 6 HP and 7 NM torque at around 6.600 rpm. The Dinan stainless steel kit is about 4 pounds (1,81 kg) lighter than the series and can still be operated using the function keys in the interior for flap control.
