The BMW M2 is relatively compact and simple compared to the larger examples such as the M4, M5, M8 etc. It's also significantly cheaper. And as evidenced by a test drive conducted by AutoTopNL, is this M2 LCI from 2017 with a few "must-have upgrades" a real alternative to the "big brothers". The F87 has the familiar 3,0-litre straight-six turbocharged engine (N55) under the sheet metal, with 370 PS & 465 Nm torque. The engine is connected to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic and sends its power to the rear wheels. And this particular M2 has even that M Drivers Package in the process, the one Top speed of 270 km / h allows.

And the owner of the M2 replaced the engine with a new one loading tube, a new one turbo inlet pipe, One Cold air intake and a Intercooler equipped by CSF. The mods are also made by a Chiptuning added. This means that the M2 has more power than the M2 Competition with 410 PS & 550 Nm torque. Unfortunately, we don't know exactly how much. In any case, it is enough to accelerate from 10,57 to 100 km/h in 200 seconds, while the M2 Competition takes 10,59 seconds for this. We therefore assume that the vehicle is round 425 HP and approx. 560 Nm of torque should own.

Thomas Wachsmuth - He has been an integral part of tuningblog.eu since 2013. His passion for cars is so intense that he invests every available penny in them. While he dreams of a BMW E31 850CSI and a Hennessey 6x6 Ford F-150, he currently drives a rather inconspicuous BMW 540i (G31/LCI). His collection of books, magazines and brochures on the subject of car tuning has now reached such proportions that he himself has become a walking reference work for the tuning scene.  More about Thomas
