From the factory, the current M3 and M4 from BMW once again sound extremely good and almost "boring". This is partly due to the increasingly strict emission regulations for vehicles in Europe. Keyword: Gasoline particle filter! But of course, various tuners strive to give the vehicles one befitting soundscape to allow. And a case in point is this one Capristo sports exhaust system inklusive 200 cell downpipe on the current BMW M3 Competition. The mentioned petrol particle filter (also known as GPF or OPF) is removed from this vehicle and the straight six sounds like a real performance engine again.

Incidentally, the vehicle was tuned by the team from BRS Motorsport, which is also a set more chic alloy wheels and foiling brought up. The exhaust has controllable flaps that allow a measured 126,7 decibels or approx. 20% more volume compared to the series. And apart from the new soundscape, the Capristo exhaust also achieves one performance increase of 12 hp compared to the series. The torque of this vehicle has increased by 16 Nm at 4.062 rpm.

His collection of books, magazines and brochures on the subject of car tuning has now reached such proportions that he himself has become a walking reference work for the tuning scene.  More about Thomas
