While in the past people authenticated themselves with the Toyota Supra and later switched to the Nissan GT-R as “Godzilla”, this is no longer the case with the 720S. If you are self-confident, you have to be able to beat a standard 720S. But for that to be possible, a vehicle usually has to bring significantly more than the 720 PS and 770 NM of the 720S onto the road, which is also extremely light with an empty weight of less than 1300 kg.

In the following video, a clearly modified BMW M5 F90 tries it, which, considering its size and weight, can show phenomenal acceleration values. The performance of the V8 BiTurbo in the M5 has increased from 600 to 840 hp and the M5 has all-wheel drive as standard compared to the McLaren with rear-wheel drive. The first race starts at 21:25 p.m. and shows that even after the quarter mile, an upgraded M5 does not stand a chance against the 720s. From a speed of 200 km / h, the McLaren's lower weight and superior aerodynamics simply cannot be beat.
