with the planned one M3 Touring (G81), after 12 years, BMW is finally bringing out a really powerful one M station wagon at the start. Not that the M Performance vehicles wouldn't be potent, but a real M is a real M. And a "real M" is definitely the one too M5 Touring of the E61 series. And especially the specimen from the following video with Manual transmission. The majority of the vehicles were delivered with the SMG gearbox of the time (in America also as a switch), which was, to put it mildly, a disaster. I speak from my own experience, because I was able to "enjoy" the SMG in the M5 for two years. Great for use on the race track, a disaster in everyday use. And the owner of this E61 probably saw it that way too. Because he had the SMG removed and replaced with a six-speed do-it-yourself gearbox.

And we already know the tuner who did it. It's the team from Everything M3s led by ex-F1 mechanic Darragh Doyle who already a BMW E46 M3 CSL a manual transmission donated. And now an M5 Touring E61 also got a clutch pedal and a classic gear stick. Of course, the is still there 5,0 liter naturally aspirated V10 under the hood with 507 hp and 520 Nm of torque. The shift lever was neatly integrated into the cabin and, as far as we know, the conversion cost around €7.200.
