BS + COMPETITION, G2 Esports, Team Redline and Williams Esports are among the best teams in the sim racing scene and will be competing regularly in virtual BMW racing vehicles for the first time in selected racing series and special events in 2021. first highlight race in January

What worked well in esports last year has been expanded to include sim racing this season. Under the motto “United in Rivalry”, G2 Esports has been one of the “League of Legends” teams supported by BMW since 2020 and is one of the world's best. G2 Esports is also a top team in sim racing - especially on the Assetto Corsa Competizione simulation platform. G2 Esports was the first of the four BMW Motorsport SIM Racing Teams to make its debut on January 9th. The two drivers Nils Naujoks and Arthur Kammerer (both GER) competed in the virtual BMW M6 GT3 in the SimGrid Endurance Cup, but missed a top ten result after a technical problem within the simulation. Further stations in the racing series are Paul Ricard in February and Silverstone in March.

"BMW has been a partner of G2 Esports for more than a year, and we couldn't be more proud and happy to now extend this collaboration to racing too"Says G2 Esports CEO Carlos" Ocelote "Rodriguez. "Thanks to the years of commitment by Danny Engels and Nils Naujoks, G2 Esports has become a fixture in sim racing."

BS + COMPETITION and BMW Team GB in the BMW M4 GT3 at the start.

Last Saturday, BS + COMPETITION and the BMW Motorsport SIM Racing Team GB were at the start for the first time. They are among the dominant teams in the Digital Nürburgring Endurance Series (DNLS). So far they have fought for victories and titles on the virtual Nordschleife in the BMW Z4 GT3, but last Saturday they broke new ground on the iRacing platform together with BMW Motorsport and the entire sim racing community. You were among the first to contest a race in the new BMW M4 GT3. Bruno Spengler (CAN) and Kay Kaschube (GER) were at the start for BS + COMPETITION. BMW Team GB, which is used by Williams Esports, sent BMW works drivers Jesse Krohn (FIN) and Alessandro Bico (ITA) into the 3-hour race. In the quadruple victory of the virtual BMW M4 GT3, the two teams finished third and fourth.

"We already contested our races in virtual BMW vehicles last year, but to be the official BMW Motorsport SIM Racing Team makes us all very proud“, Says Spengler, who is at the same time a BMW works driver in real racing and team captain of BS + COMPETITION in sim racing. "We have a great mix of real racing drivers who are extremely fast in the racing simulator and some of the best sim racers in the world. The coming year will be a challenge that we are very much looking forward to."

Team Redline and Williams Esports in GT and Formula E use.

The first joint race of BMW Motorsport and the Redline team will be on 23/24. January at the first iRacing Special of the year: the 24 Hours of Daytona. BS + COMPETITION and BMW Team GB will also send vehicles into the race there and thus ensure the first three-way battle for the BMW Motorsport SIM Racing Teams. Team Redline and BMW Team GB will continue the week after they compete in the virtual racing series of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship "Formula E: Accelerate" in the BMW iFE.21. There are a total of six events on the program on Thursdays between January and March.
