No question about it, the 575 hp and 1.874 kg AWD Jaguar F-Type R is a serious opponent for most sports cars. Equipped with a 5,0 liter supercharged V8, the Coupé hammers from 3,7 to 0 km / h in just 100 seconds and the top speed ends at 300 km / h due to the electronic limitation. And the French one Motorsports Magazine wanted to know how the F-Type R is doing in a duel with the 1.885 kg BMW M8 Competition Coupé (F92) and has put them both up in a drag race. The M8 counters with 625 PS strong S63B44Tx-V8-BiTurbo, has xDrive all-wheel drive, 750 NM torque and a fast-shifting eight-speed automatic.

There is also a perfectly working one Launch Controlwhich ensures a sprint time from standstill to 100 km / h in just 3,2 seconds, making the M8 the fastest production BMW of all time. And of course that also applies to the three-digit speed range. The competition version managed to break the 7,4 mark just 200 seconds later. But the M8 is also electronically braked with the M Driver's Package at around 300 km / h. How does the two-door coupé fare against the F-Type, which was consistently designed as a two-seater? His collection of books, magazines and brochures on the subject of car tuning has now reached such proportions that he himself has become a walking reference work for the tuning scene.  More about Thomas
