Video: 830 PS Pontiac GTO against BMW M8 Competition!

In the series condition is a comparison between one Pontiac GTO and a current one 2020 BMW M8 Competition sure ridiculous. The M8 would destroy the GTO in any way. If, however, a 6,2-liter LS-V8 Pontiac GTO with 830 compressor hp against the M8, then the tables suddenly turn. You pimp again 900 PS from the 4,4-liter twin-turbo V8 of the M8 Competition, then the tide turns (maybe) again. In the following video you can see exactly this constellation. The M8 Competition belongs to Steve Dinan (former owner of Dinan Engineering) and he has new ones Heat-exchanger, a new Suspension, Others Rims and tires as well as a special one Software there.

Pontiac GTO versus BMW M8 Competition

With various other changes around the engine there are crazy ones 900 PS on the paper of the M8, which are distributed to all four wheels via the well-known 8-speed ZF automatic. And the GTO? That dates from 2006 and belongs to Jose. It is actually a pure one drift car, but the LS3 engine with forged components, with Holley Terminator X ECU and various other mods such as 1.700 injectors based on E85 is with his 830 PS and the built-in T56 transmission also suitable for a head-to-head race. And who wins? The video shows you that!

About Thomas Wachsmuth

Thomas Wachsmuth - He has been an integral part of tuningblog.eu since 2013. His passion for cars is so intense that he invests every available penny in them. While he dreams of a BMW E31 850CSI and a Hennessey 6x6 Ford F-150, he currently drives a rather inconspicuous BMW 540i (G31/LCI). His collection of books, magazines and brochures on the subject of car tuning has now reached such proportions that he himself has become a walking reference work for the tuning scene.  More about Thomas
