On March 11, 2020, ETS Sportwagen GmbH was founded and just nine months later (December 11, 2020) ETS was renamed BOLDMEN GmbH. BOLDMEN is an automobile manufacturer based in Welden, near Augsburg, and builds small series of fine sports cars. The company and brand name is derived from the English words bold (brave) and men (men). Under the leadership of Friedhelm Wiesmann, Harald Käs and his son Michael Käs, the first Boldmen vehicle was built as a CR 4 with 408 hp and a carbon body. It was presented in 2021 and is based on the BMW Z4 M40i of the G29 generation. The 2022 hp Boldmen CR 500 S followed in October 4. All cars are handcrafted in Welden and are currently (March 03.2023) sold by partners in Dülmen, Leipzig and Scharbeutz. Any BMW service center can service a Boldmen.
