Bugatti at the 2021 Goodwood Festival of Speed!

Bugatti is delighted to be back at the internationally renowned Goodwood Festival of Speed. At the event, held in the manicured grounds of Goodwood House near Chichester, West Sussex, the Chiron Pur Sport1 will take part in the famous race up a hill, while the Chiron Super Sport2 will make one of its first public appearances on the premises. The Bugatti Baby II will also be on display at the Festival of Speed.

2021/XNUMX/XNUMX Goodwood Festival of Speed

The annual Goodwood Festival of Speed takes place from July 8th to 11th and is an absolute must for many motorsport fans. At the largest event of its kind, visitors can get a taste of some of the latest and greatest classic and modern road vehicles. And that of course also includes Bugatti. The sports car manufacturer is represented this year with three vehicles, one of which can also be seen in action.

Bugatti Chiron Pure Sport

Chiron Pur Sport, recently named the best hyper sports car of the year by Robb Report, is driven up the legendary hill by none other than Le Mans winner and Bugatti test driver Andy Wallace. As the most agile model of the Chiron family, the Pur Sport is designed to cope with winding and difficult routes and offers customers uncompromising power - thanks to the W16 engine with quadruple turbo, 1.500 hp and 1.600 Nm torque. With an acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 2,3 seconds and a top speed of 350 km / h, the Chiron Pur Sport is sure to create excitement in the crowded auditoriums.

The Pur Sport, which is produced in a limited edition of 60 copies, is equipped with a 1,9-meter rear spoiler that generates sufficient downforce to guarantee excellent cornering even at high speeds. New state-of-the-art additions to the vehicle include incredibly lightweight and high temperature resistant 3D printed titanium exhaust tips to reduce weight and increase performance. Other special features include the lightweight magnesium rims with optional aero wings, which provide additional ventilation for the wheels and better aerodynamics.

The Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport will be stationed in the Michelin Supercar Paddock during the four-day event and will be presented daily on the associated interactive stage. Andy Wallace will be there to answer questions as a special guest.

Bugatti Chiron Super Sport

The brand new Bugatti Chiron Super Sport will be on display in a glass showcase - the epitome of luxury and speed. The Chiron Super Sport was designed with the aim of achieving top speeds, but at the same time offers the comfort of a luxury car. Driven by a completely redesigned 8,0-liter W16 engine, the ultimate Grand Tourisme with 1.600 hp can call up the same power as the Chiron Super Sport 300+. The changes made to the turbocharger, oil pump and cylinder heads enable the Chiron Super Sport to accelerate from 0 to 200 km / h in 5,5 seconds or from 0 to 300 km / h in 12,1 seconds and a top speed of 440 km / h .

In addition, the Chiron Super Sport not only offers impressive performance, but also a rear that has been extended by 25 cm in order to achieve optimal aerodynamic performance. The exhaust system is now lying one on top of the other on the side, while each fender has nine exhaust holes. All other changes made are also aimed at improving driving stability and aerodynamics.

Bugatti will soon start production of the Chiron Super Sport in Molsheim, France. The delivery of the hyper sports cars at a price of 3,2 million euros (net) is planned for the beginning of 2022.

Bugatti Baby II

Bugatti is also celebrating its glorious past at the event at the Goodwood Road and Racing Club (GRRC) with the Bugatti Baby II, the fully electric racing car on a scale of 75 percent, which is manufactured in a strictly limited edition of 500 copies. Like the original Bugatti Baby from 1926, the Bugatti Baby II was developed using the latest technology, but at the same time pays homage to Bugatti's glorious automotive tradition. The model was revived on the occasion of the company's 110th anniversary and is a modern homage to Ettore Bugatti's masterpiece that he and his son Jean built for Ettore's youngest son Roland for his fourth birthday.

Thanks to the enlarged design, adults and children alike can find space in the Bugatti Baby II. The model is equipped with an electric rear-wheel drive, replaceable lithium-ion batteries, a sliding pedal box and regenerative brakes. There are two driving modes to choose from for the vehicle, but an optional Chiron-inspired “Speed Key” upgrade is available for higher speeds, with which the power can be increased to up to 10 kW and the top speed to 68 km / h. At the Festival of Speed, the Bugatti Baby II can also be seen on the interactive stage of the Michelin Supercar Paddock.
