Officially - Kahn Design Vengeance Volante based on DB9

After the  Vengeance WB12, based on the Aston Martin DB9 Coupe, the British car tuner Kahn Design is now venturing into its next super sports car, the Kahn Vengeance Volante. Like the Coupe, the Vengeance Volante is based on the Aston Martin DB9, but this time as a variant with a classic fabric roof. However, the Volante doesn't really have much in common with the original DB9 either. After this Flying Huntsman 110 6 × 6 and the WB12 mentioned above, the Volante is the next spectacular renovation project, and now already the second athlete! The basis of the DB9 platform couldn't be more suitable and of course Kahn also has the blessing of Aston Martin. Although the tried and tested technology with the more than 500 hp V12 engine remains under the hood, Kahn tailors a completely modified bodywork for the unit. And here not just any aerodynamic parts are used, but the aluminum outer skin is handcrafted and only 20 times!

The main focus in the design was on bringing various elements from the Aston Martin past into the present. The bonnet, for example, has been given subtle ventilation gills, the LED roulette-style taillights are completely new and fit perfectly with the classic round design in the newly designed rear. The spectacular 9 x 20 inch Sixteen Spoke rims at the front and the 12 x 21 inch Eighteen Spoke Alu's at the rear are also a feature of the complex conversion. The absolute highlight is of course the already mentioned completely new aluminum outer skin. Here the convertible got the specially developed Vengeance grill made of aluminum and a new bumper with large air intakes that we know from the coupe. The bumper merges seamlessly into the significantly widened front fenders that open into matching side skirts. These in turn lead into the newly formed, and much wider, rear side walls. The doors have also been specially manufactured and go perfectly with the beefier look.

The rear bumper is also an in-house development and includes an integrated diffuser and a stainless steel sports exhaust system with 4 crosshair tailpipes. Of course, the interior is also being completely redesigned and fine materials such as leather and aluminum dominate here. As with the Coupe, only a limited edition of the Vengeance Volante, with which Kahn would like to demonstrate its possibilities with regard to individual body construction, is to be created. The company speaks of 20 copies and we can assume that these will be sold out quickly. Of course, if we get more information about the modifications to the Vengeance Volante, there is, as always, an update for this report. The best thing is to subscribe to our feed and if there is something new you will be informed immediately. We hope you enjoy looking at the pictures.
