The Lotus Seven was definitely one of the most puristic and uncompromising sports car concepts ever. Without a roof and with free-standing wheels at the front, it weighed just 750 kilograms. The English built the Seven from 1957 to 1972. Due to the lack of production, the athlete "almost" died out afterwards. But only almost! The team of Caterham secured namely the official production rights and thus the permission to build the Seven further. But other manufacturers build or have built in the past replicas that follow the concept of the Seven. For example the VM GmbH from the Menschik family with the fantastic VM 77!
