Nice? 2004 Chevrolet Corvette Nomad Shooting Brake!

Can you still get used to the Corvette C5 from Advanced Automotive with C1 optics recall? The spacey thing is even available as a Shooting Brake. And of course we have to show you that too. The result looks like this in something Chevrolet Corvette Nomad concept from 1954 and should also be a kind of homage. A vehicle that General Motors presented at the Motorama in New York City. It should be an elegant interpretation of what a sporty family car could be. A huge station wagon with a streamlined station wagon rear with a Corvette front. But the one-off never made it into reality. But 50 years later, Advanced Automotive Technologies gave it a try building this 2004 Chevy Corvette, which is now at Streetside Classics for Sale stands.

Without a doubt a polarizing part.

The grille, with which the Corvette from 1954 was imitated, looks somehow completely different. The thirteen Chrome teeth protrude far too far from the Grille opening and look like a child with the teeth of a horse and braces. The domed front fenders attempt to blend the design of the '54 with the lines of the 2004 Chevy Corvette, with the end result being one front is way too long. The doors are, apart from the moldings, the same as for the series B-pillar and the Windshield applies. But behind the B-pillar it's a different story. A species rises there Glasshouse, that could be mistaken for a fat man with a small child's backpack. Incidentally, the vehicle has no tailgate, but the whole Glass house lifts when opened to allow access to the luggage compartment. It is possible to carry larger packages, but at the expense of the optics. Even the taillights in the style from 1954 don't tear it out.

The rear is as unsuccessful as the front!

they seem oversized and exaggerated. Only the rear bumpers match the rounded tail quite well. There is luminous in the interior red leather with black stripes. Are on the doorsteps Mirror-smooth door sills and the lower door panel is set off in black. The traditional black dashboard is red like that Center console and most of the rest Facilities. Everything at least one number too much as we think. Various details in the engine compartment have been changed so that they match the 1954 small block and in the middle there is a Corvette emblem for 50th anniversary of the nomad. All in all a pretty "ugly“Vehicle as we think. What do you think? If we get more information about the changes, there is of course an update for this report.
