Bentley is introducing a Mulliner Blackline trim level for the GT and GT Convertible. This is based on the distinctive Blackline body package, which is available as an option for all Bentley series and is very popular with customers. With a bold black alternative to the chrome exterior trim of Bentley's class-leading Grand Tourer, Mulliner is bringing a darker side to the luxury brand's popular four-seater - a perfect addition to the myriad of extras customers can choose from.
Mulliner Blackline Package
The GT Mulliner Blackline, which is manufactured by skilled craftsmen at Mulliner, has a wealth of changes to the body compared to the current Mulliner versions of the GT and GT Convertible. These give the ultra-luxurious GT top models an additional modern touch. The new option is offered in response to the increasing demand for black trim; 38 percent of the Continental GT series vehicles ordered worldwide now have this option.
In the Blackline version, all exterior trim elements, with the exception of the Bentley emblem with the “winged B”, are black, as is the frame of the radiator grille. Instead of the upper mirror housings in satined silver, which is typical of a GT Mulliner, the mirrors in the Blackline version are made in glossy Beluga black. The matrix air outlets in the fender, which are characteristic of Mulliner, are also black and have chrome-plated Mulliner lettering. The grille remains black, with its rounded edges shining brightly. The grille inserts in the bumper are also black.
In addition, the GT Mulliner Blackline models have black painted 22-inch rims with a self-aligning wheel emblem with a chrome ring. As an alternative to this, a black Mulliner wheel with contrasting polished "pockets" will be available soon. The magnificent, beautiful interior of the GT Mulliner Blackline remains unchanged from the previous Mulliner edition. Customers can choose any color combination they want from the limitless Mulliner range or one of eight recommended three-color combinations from Bentley's extensive range of leathers and yarns.
635 hp from a 6,0-liter twin-turbo W12
In the standard Mulliner Driving Specification, the interior includes Bentley's unique double diamond quilting on the seats, doors and the C-pillar trim. Contrast and accent seams run through the diamond pattern. The entire interior has almost 400.000 stitches, with each individual diamond being composed of exactly 712 individual stitches - each of which is precisely aligned with the center of the respective diamond. A real sign of automotive craftsmanship that is second to none. Depending on the region, customers can choose between the now legendary 6,0-liter twin-turbo W12 from Bentley with 635 hp or the dynamic 4,0-liter V8 with 550 hp. Both engines combine grand touring range with the effortless power delivery of a top GT.
The expansion of the Mulliner GT model series to include the Blackline Edition underscores Bentley's position as the world's leading manufacturer of sporty, luxurious grand tourers. Bentley offers bespoke solutions for the most discerning customers who want vehicles as unique as they are. In short, the Blackline version is a modern take on the ultimate luxury coupe.
