Buick V8 and extreme chopping: Berlin Buick VW Beetle

And this completely crazy part was also at the last SEMA Auto Show. A completely restored, chopped and extremely converted VW Beetle from 1967 with the project name "Berlin Buick". The car has been around for a number of years and is largely made by the American HotRod specialists Brown Metal Mods built. The owner Robert Freeman can be lucky to own this single piece because who can claim to own a VW Beetle with a Buick V8 mid-engine? The block has been planted in place of the rear seat and the exhaust gases are disposed of by Sidepieps which have been used in 1953 Buick Roadmaster portholes. The complete engine is painted gold and loaded with lots of chrome and performs its service in the beetle completely undressed.

Background noise of course "without words"

It goes without saying that a complete fire extinguishing system had to be installed here. In addition, the entire cabin is protected by a hidden roll cage to give the vehicle support and of course to protect the occupants in the event of a crash. Our video below shows that the "Berlin Buick" is not just a show. Incidentally, the body is wrapped in a two-tone paint (PPG Tonic Brown and Ginger Beer) which can also be found in the interior on every corner. Other highlights of the Beetle shell are a clearly chopped roof, really cool electric opening suicide doors, moldings from the 57 Buick, completely redesigned fenders and the fact that almost every edge, bead, door handles and much more have been made to disappear.

Tires in 345 format on the rear axle

By the way, the Beetle is riding on a modern Ridetech air suspension and in the wheel arches 15 × 4 and 15 × 12 ET Classic V-wheels are turning. They are equipped with crazy 345er slippers on the rear axle. Away from the mainstream tuning with body kits, foils or chip tuning for VW Golf, BMW 3er or the Mercedes C-Class is the Browns Metal Mods "Berlin Buick" a pleasure for the eyes and a welcome look back at bygone days. This is how TUNING! We have the most important information and almost "100 !!!" pictures for the conversion below for you.
