With the Cayman, Porsche has had a vehicle at the start since 2005 that is definitely not undisputed. Regardless of whether it is the 987C, 981C or the 718 of the type 982, each generation more or less causes heated discussions at the regulars' table. The reasons are the previously short construction time and the rather weak engine program. From time to time you hear that it is a “housewife's Porsche” or the “Zuffenhausen base model”. And that even though the third generation in particular as the 718 Cayman GT4 with a Nordschleife lap time of 7 minutes and 28 seconds is far from an “entry-level model”. And this example from a US tuner, engineer and racing driver is even further from that. This Cayman can even put away the 918 super sports car if it has to. The reason is the missing 3,3-liter six-cylinder engine in the rear! It was thrown out without further ado and replaced by a 6,2-liter LSA-V8 from Chevrolet. With a lot of tuning, the former 295 PS has now become an unbelievable 1.500 PS.

Among other things, the owner Jordon Musser missed the engine two huge turbochargers, there was a completely new cooling and of course a hand-crafted sports exhaust system below the large Intercooler, The engine coupled the engineer to a manual 6 manual gear shift from the Lamborghini Gallardo and beyond, he donated the Cayman even a brutal appearance. The entire body has changed and at first glance one actually thinks to have a GT3 in front of him. Reason is the complete apron of the GT3 model generation 991 and beyond there were Widebody-Flot widening all around and as an absolute highlight a huge established rear wing, The rear apron of the Cayman has been widened on both sides and also provided with air openings for cooling. The smaller details such as the brand new LED taillights or the fully functional daytime running lights in the front apron only catch the eye at a second glance.

On the other hand, the poison green paint in combination with the black accents immediately catches the eye. Rather restrained are the black motor sport rims and the complete new ones sports brake system with saddles in body color. And also in the interior something has happened. The mentioned handshake shows with an open gearshift and beyond there were Tillett racing seats with straps and a current digital instrument cluster is installed. Everything is lined with Alcantara, which also applies to the sports steering wheel in addition to the dashboard. Countless other not, or not equal, visible details such as the painted in body color strut in the engine compartment, the custom sports suspension up to the new sound system make the 1.500 PS Monster absolutely unique.
