Limited special series are always something very special, especially when they are not completely unaffordable, but reasonably affordable. This was the case, for example, with the BMW 1 Series M Coupé, of which only 2011 units rolled off the assembly line between 2013 and 6331. With a new price of 51.500 euros in 2012, the model was certainly not cheap, but affordable for many sports car and BMW fans, which is why the special series became an absolute collector's item. For many BMW enthusiasts, it is also the last real BMW that is suitable for the racetrack, as its low weight, high performance and rear-wheel drive make it ideal for circuits and drift races. The new models have become too heavy and unwieldy for many purists, and they are also celebrating the six-speed manual switch from the 1 Series with the M. This example, which made it to China to make the streets unsafe there, has extensive tuning measures , which is why we're introducing the car to you today.

Race optics divide minds.

Should you really tune a limited collector's item that will definitely increase in value? We mean: Yes of course. This lime green 1 Series M Coupé proves that a 1 Series does not necessarily have to degenerate into a handicraft shop if you tune it, but can also be tastefully modified. The orange-colored AP Racing brake calipers called TE37, which live behind 19-inch BBS rims with the model designation RGR, look a little unusual. Above all, the red wheel nuts, which were probably powder-coated, are a bit at war with the orange brake calipers when it comes to the color coordination of the components. The most conspicuous and quite controversial is without a doubt the huge racing rear wing, which was painted in a contrasting color and painted black. The touring car-style spoiler is certainly not for everyone and will likely lead to heated discussions among BMW fans. Likewise, the roof spoiler, which is painted in the exterior color of the car, is possibly a stumbling block, because in our opinion it is a bit too big and does not harmonize very well with the lines of the 1 Series M Coupé. On each iAcro event or a BMW meeting, the car would certainly be well received, which is also due to the performance, which we will go into in more detail in a moment.

The engine was inflated to 420 hp.

Instead of the standard 340 hp, this 1 Series M Coupé has 420 horses under the hood, which means that the performance should be on a super sports car level. The engine has been optimized with the help of bootmod3, a cloud-based chip tuning system for all BMW models of the newer generations. The power is generated by the N54B30 in-line six-cylinder with biturbo charging and 3-liter displacement. This turns the little BMW into an absolute rocket, with which you can travel far too fast in no time if you not only stroke the gas pedal, but press it down a little. The power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission, which makes the driving machine an absolute highlight for every BMW enthusiast.

CDM tuning on limited BMW? Is that possible?

As mentioned above, there are certainly not only controversial discussions about the type of tuning on the 1 Series, but also about the fact that it is a limited model. For many fans it is certainly inconceivable to equip a future classic with body modifications, and some BMW disciples will probably have tears in their eyes when they see the copy of the 1 Series M Coupé. Of course we have added a large picture gallery of the model at the end of the article for all car and tuning fans. If we get more information about the changes to the 1er M Coupé (E82), there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed of this if you simply use ours Feed subscribe to.
