The guys from B&B Automobiltechnik not only know Audi / VW but also know exactly how to approach a lavish increase in performance on a BMW. We have a perfect example here in the form of a BMW 116i F20, which is known to be equipped with the N13B16 TwinPower Turbo R4 engine including direct injection and Valvetronic. With at least 8,5 seconds from 0-100 km / h and a top speed of 210 km / h, the small 1 Series is quite well motorized and suitable for more than just boring city traffic. B & B has published on its website that you can get a generous increase in performance by means of chip tuning. With Stage 2 tuning you can achieve 149kW / 203PS & 306Nm which is remarkable compared to the standard performance of 100kW / 136PS & 220Nm.
⚠over 200PS in 116i⚠
Please note that it is "only" about Stage 2 is what does that mean there is still room for improvement. For stage 2, the hardware needs to be edited and there is also the in-house B&B software optimization stage 2. These changes result in a significant increase in performance and from now on the proud owner of his 116i can use the driver of a 120i with a B48B20-R4 and also to annoy some 125i owners (03 / 2012-07 / 2016), the performance data are ultimately almost the same.
