BMW 3er Gran Turismo with F80 M3 Parts by EDO Tuning

For almost four years, there is now the BMW 3er Gran Turismo (3er GT series F34). The hatchback, based on the 3er series (F30), represents a new body variant for the mid-size bestseller and is built in the BMW plant in Dingolfing. Visually, the silhouette of the shape of a coupe to resemble the dimensions of the body compared to the 3er are a good deal luscious. The idea itself is not bad but especially in Germany, the GT probably will not match the sales figures of eg China. The Chinese are on this form of 3er BMW and also in the field of customization, there are of course more vehicles than in this country. One we would like to introduce to you and this comes from EDO tuning and is based on a 320i. The owner of the GT did not stop at the financial pitfalls of the original BMW components and equipped the 320 even with components of the current F80 M3.

Inside, the GT got for example the M3 steering wheel including red painted Autotechnic shift paddles. Even the complete speedometer unit, with its 330 km / h scale, came from the top model of the 3er series and probably will neither reach the end of the scale for the speedometer or tachometer due to the 320 engine. In the middle part of the dashboard a digital Awron additional display was installed which replaces the left shaft of the air vents and transmits all important information to the driver. Also on the outside there were a lot of changes on the front with black BMW M Performance kidneys, including M colors, begin. An expensive affair is certainly the complete Brembo brake system with its perforated brake discs and the gold-painted calipers that can be recognized well by the 20 inch star-spoked 660 rims.

So that the alloy rims sit a little more fully in the wheel arch, the F34 was lowered by means of KW Variant 3 suspension, which is also beneficial to the sportiness. At the rear, EDO installed an M Performance spoiler lip on the boot lid and a 4-pipe sports exhaust system from HCY was also given to the GT. There were also a few changes under the bonnet and so, for example, an Arma Carbon intake, a Wagner intercooler, a new charger tube or chip tuning for a significant increase in performance was installed. Unfortunately, it was anything but easy for us to translate the Chinese characters correctly, so we don't assume that we have really discovered all the changes, sorry for that. But if we somehow get more information about the modifications, there is of course, as always, an update for this report.
