In mid-October last year, BMW presented the latest generation of the 5er series with the company-internal designation G30 / G31. Since the 11. February is the new 5er now at the dealers and thus replaced, built since the beginning of 2010, F10 model. With regard to tuning, of course, not much has happened in this short period of time and the most comprehensive program currently has Alpina with the B5 to show. But if you don't want to go all out for so price-intensive the rim label Barracuda Racing Wheels has something on offer. The "Inferno" rim type with five Y-spoke design and the "Virus" type are now available for the current 5 Series. The Inferno wheel is characterized by its classic silver finish and is installed in the dimensions 8,5 × 20 and 10 × 20 inches. The “Virus” rim, on the other hand, is significantly darker and has a seven-spoke design with a matt gunmetal finish in the dimensions 9 × 20 and 10,5 × 20 inches.
As tires, Barracuda recommends 245 / 35R20 as well as 275 / 30R20 from Michelin. But not only new alloy wheels characterize this presentation vehicle, an individually adjustable lowering by KW coilover suspension variant 3 contributes to the overall sporty image. However, the chassis is still in prototype status and is therefore not yet officially available. Also in preparation is a sports exhaust system from the manufacturer Eisenmann definitely makes for a sportier sound and will be available for about 1.500 €.
