World premiere - BMW 5er G30, G31 from tuner AC-Schnitzer

BMW was unusually quick at the presentation of the G31 Touring. The 5-series sedan had just made it public when the Munich-based company followed suit with the new G2017 Touring in March 31. For the long-established company AC Schnitzer, this was the starting signal for the new hand. And the 13-series business sedan and the touring "Made by AC Schnitzer" were officially presented yesterday (August 5) in Gaydon (UK). And of course, the modifications do not only include visual changes but especially changes under the bonnet. AC Schnitzer, for example, has performance enhancements for the 5 Series Sedan (G30) and the Touring (G31) in stock that come with a three-year guarantee. The new B58B30 six-cylinder (540i) then comes with 400 hp, which means an increase of 60 horses.

For the 530d with B57D30 engine it goes by means of AC Schnitzer upgrade on 315 PS compared to standard 265 PS. Currently under construction is an increase in performance for the M550i with N63B44 V8 bi-turbo engine, as we know, can easily deliver 570PS. Also in the works are the 530i and 520d. For more sound AC Schnitzer but already provides all model variants. For all petrol engines optional stainless steel double rear mufflers are available, each with two chromed or black "Sport" tailpipes. 520d, 530d and 540d can be equipped with chromed or black "Quad Sport" tailpipes in right / left combination on request, thus ensuring a sporty look even for fans of diesel. Both the G30 and the G31 can now be equipped with an AC Schnitzer suspension spring kit with a lowering of 25mm front and 20mm rear which provides an even more dynamic look and of course accompanied by an improved suspension tuning.

And the already familiar AC Schnitzer Alloy Wheels AC1 "BiColor" or "Anthracite" as well as the Type VIII Alu's in "BiColor Black", "BiColor Silver" or "Anthracite" are available. And, of course, something has also done visually on the bodywork, Schnitzer offers for vehicles with M-Technik new front spoiler elements (optionally made of carbon) and an AC front splitter. In addition, there are side skirts and a matching rear diffuser which also ensures plenty of individuality at the rear. Drivers of a G30 sedan can also order a roof spoiler and a rear spoiler for the tailgate. Schnitzer also announced that a carbon racing rear wing will soon be available. And also the Touring gets a wing work. Here is a roof hatchback to choose from, which reduces both additional downforce median and the air resistance.
