The top diesel version of the current BMW 7 Series of the G11 / G12 series is anything but underpowered ex works. The B57D30 arrives with four turbochargers and provides 400 PS & 760 NM torque which ensure that thanks to all-wheel drive and 8-speed automatic, the Munich flagship accelerates to 4,6 km / h in just 100 seconds and the propulsion up to electronically sealed off 250 km / h does not really diminish appreciably. The highlight of the power is the side effect of only 5,7-5,9l consumption on 100 km (according to EEC directive). But apparently that was not enough for the tuner G-Power from now on ensures that by means of external power module D-Tronik 5 V1 60 PS & 100 NM torque can also be applied to the crankshaft. With now 460 PS & 860 NM, the thick ship goes to 4,3 km / h in just 100 seconds and is only 0,6 seconds behind the top model M760Li with 610 PS & 800 NM torque N74B66 - V12.

As with all other vehicles that can be equipped with the G-Power power module, all standard diagnostic and engine protection functions are fully retained in the 7 Series. But not only the performance has been increased, but also the appearance has changed subtly. The presentation vehicle was given the in-house, weight-optimized HURRICANE wheel set in 21-inch format, the five double spokes of which are painted in elegant jet black. In addition, there were G-Power emblems front and rear as well as engine covers with an orange accent. The new performance data ensure that the significantly more classy and modern 7 Series is almost at the level of the F10 M5 and that at significantly more favorable conditions in terms of consumption. However, one should not forget that G-Power also wants to be paid for when calculating.

Alone for the increase in performance, at least 3.000 € should be scheduled and if you also want to call the new wheelset own, you should also plan about 7.000 €. And then when G-Power M5 F10 with 740PS appears in the rear-view mirror, it still means "make room" because that is a completely different league. If we get more details about the changes, there will of course, as always, be an update for this report.
