"Typical Schnitzer" - while others are talking used for? the traditional tuner simply! The guys from Aachen already have an extensive body kit for the brand new BMW 8 Series Coupé (G15 & G14) at the start. And you can see the carbon aerodynamic kit at the upcoming Essen Motor Show (1. to 9. December 2018). Although it is currently still a design study in which Schnitzer he would like to test the customer reactions to the vehicle, we know but already now that the 8 Series will definitely "be well received". And so one can assume that the Schnitzer G15 will also make it into series production as the ACS8 without any problems. But you don't just want to change the look, something should also happen under the hood.

The Schnitzer 600i xDrive should produce at least 850 hp, which is 70 hp more than the series. The powerful 840d xDrive Diesel with Schnitzer genes should enable 380 PS & 780 Nm, which is clear compared to the series of 320 PS & 680 Nm. And especially with regard to the gasoline engine, the extra power is also audible. Here Schnitzer is planning different right / left silencer solutions that convince, for example, with “Carbon Sport” end panels and 105 mm stovepipes, as well as a typical 4-pipe look. The presentation vehicle has also already been lowered. Sport springs are used to move 20-25 mm towards the road on the front axle and 10-15 mm on the rear axle.

The lowering of the body ensures that the in-house wheel-tire combinations in 20 and 21 inches sit perfectly in the wheel arch. Schnitzer would like the 8 series with the known AC3 lightweight forged wheels or the AC1 light alloy wheels equipped to optimize the handling and driving dynamics noticeably. The highlight is definitely the body kit. It is mostly made of carbon and convinces with absolute accuracy of fit. However, some of the components on the exhibition vehicle are still made of GRP. The already very sporty and aggressive bumpers from the factory are given by Schnitzer carbon front spoiler elements and a matching front splitter.

Almost all components should be made of carbon

There is 4 for this Carbon front side wings and subtle carbon covers for the air inlets in the bumper. And the bonnet has also been made. This one misses so-called bonnet vents made of carbon, which ensure improved ventilation. The side view of the 8 Series is staged by means of carbon rocker panels and there were also changes to the rear. Here the tuner installs a carbon "racing" rear wing and a carbon rear diffuser which is optionally available with or without an integrated brake light.

even the fixed spoiler looks good

Finally, some accessories have also been installed from the M-Performance shelf and so the 8 Series is there with a set of black kidneys and gills as well as elegant carbon mirror caps. Only small changes are planned for the interior and so, for example, some aluminum accessories such as new pedals or high-quality shift paddles for the steering wheel are to be provided. We do not have any more details yet. If we receive timely information on further changes not mentioned before, there will of course be an update for this report.
