Here comes the brand new Alpina XB7 (G07) based on the BMW X7 M50i with 621 PS and powerful 800 NM torque. The XB7 turns the ride in the light outback into an exclusive adventure with luxury in a new dimension. With the new XB7, ALPINA opens a completely new chapter full of exciting sportiness, impressive driving culture and a luxurious presence that is second to none. The largest X-model from Alpina combines the advantages of comfortable, spacious "Sports Activity Vehicles" with superior driving dynamics and impressive light-footed agility. Such properties are normally reserved for significantly smaller vehicle classes. Under the hood is a 4,4 liter V8 with BiTurbo (N63B44T3) which provides an enormous 457 kW (621 hp) and 800 Nm from 2.000 rpm. And that so much power translates into superior driving performance goes without saying. One can even speak of unique driving performance values for this vehicle class.
4,2 seconds from 0 to 100 km / h
After all, it only takes 4,2 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h and the XB7 reaches a top speed of 290 km / h. Key data that would also fit a purebred athlete. The advantage of the XB7 is the unprecedented travel comfort in combination with the completely new dynamic driving dimension. And of course a large part of this is due to the modern chassis technology, which is intended to enable driving pleasure in all its facets. The special ALPINA sports suspension with two-axle air suspension and active roll stabilization, including electromechanical stabilizers, ends in complexly coordinated dampers and enables an exceptionally sporty suspension design. Nevertheless, the flagship is said to display an equally light-footed agility. Incidentally, Alpina has installed a dome end wall strut and reinforced torsion struts in the XB7 to achieve increased body rigidity.

And of course, typically Alpina, there are also new rims. Optionally available is the ALPINA CLASSIC forged wheel in the classic 20-spoke design, which for the XB7 has a mighty 23 inch (standard 21-inch with 285/45) has been enlarged and houses a Brembo brake with 395 discs in the front and 398 discs in the rear. There is also tailor-made high-performance tires in the format 285/35 ZR23 on the front axle and 325/30 ZR23 at the rear, which was created in cooperation with the tire experts from Pirelli. The wheelset optimally transfers the sophisticated chassis concept of the XB7 to the road. And the body can even be lowered by a maximum of 40 mm so that high speeds are not a problem due to the high center of gravity. In SPORT mode or automated from a speed of 160 km / h, the system regulates that the body automatically lowers by 20 mm. If you hammer at a speed of at least 250 km / h and in SPORT + mode over the motorway, the XB7 will lower itself by a further 20 mm. The built-in lift function is practical and enables the body to be lifted by 30 mm up to a speed of 40 km / h at the push of a button.

And the body is also typically Alpina. At the front, the XB7 has a sporty ALPINA front apron with enlarged air inlets and the typical ALPINA lettering in the middle. The rear view impresses with the twin-pipe ALPINA sports exhaust system, which is elegantly fitted into the ALPINA rear apron. In the middle, there are also subtle diffuser fins in the color of the car. And then there is the huge cabin.

Six or seven people can be accommodated in the XB7 and are welcomed with standard comfort seats with heated seats. A particular eye-catcher in the XB7 is the center console with ALPINA design and the so-called “Crafted Clarity” glass application. There is also a handcrafted gear selector switch, volume control, iDrive controller and start / stop button made of fine crystal glass.

The three-part panorama glass roof provides plenty of light in the interior, which allows an open feeling of space on the three rows of seats. The changes are rounded off on the inside with a hand-sewn ALPINA sports leather steering wheel made of high-quality LAVALINA leather, which can be equipped with blue / green seams and optionally with ALPINA SWITCH-TRONIC shift paddles.
