With him came the innovations - the BMW M3 of the E46 series. High-revving 3,2-liter in-line six-cylinder engine (S54B32) with 252 kW (343 hp). And of course the S5432HP version of the CSL with 360 hp and an empty weight of only 1385 kg. But also the “normal” M3 was and is extremely popular. Especially the timeless design with the power dome on the aluminum hood, the wider wheel arches or the aerodynamically optimized exterior mirrors convinced even after 18 years. Another highlight was the forged alloy wheels ex works in 18 or 19 inches, which thanks to the appropriate dimensions optimally filled the 40 mm wider wheel arches. But exactly that had to give way in this M3. Instead, the 3er now carries a set of HRE Performance Wheels alloy wheels from Type 540 at the front and rear axle.

The also ultra-light and multi-part forged rim comes with a fully polished surface and in the dimensions 19 inches. The view through the spokes reveals that even a new brake system was installed. The owner opted for a system from Brembo with red painted calipers and large perforated brake discs. And a subtle lowering has received the M3. Unfortunately we do not have any information about this at the moment. There was also the front apron of the CSL with the distinctive air opening on the driver's side and a sports exhaust system with four chrome tailpipes in series appearance. Maybe the M3 will get a CSL Style hatchback in the next few days.

the design of the E46 M3 is still convincing

The popular component in lightweight design with large and fully integrated spoiler lip is also offered by various accessories manufacturers and would of course fit perfectly with the front apron. But even without the tailgate of the M3 CSL this vehicle shows that the E46 series is rightly one of the most successful model series of the M3 ever. If we receive timely information on further changes, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed if yours is just ours Feed subscribe to.
