Hartge knew it - BMW E63 6 Series with Hartge front!

Yesterday was the brand new BMW 4 Series Coupe (G22) presented and today it occurred to us where we have already seen the look that takes getting used to with the giant kidneys. On the Hartge BMW 6er (E63 / E64)! The already extremely controversial coupe by designer Chris Bangle received a body kit from the former tuner from Merzig at the time that was occasionally referred to as "Model Athletic" and brought a new front apron with a very similar kidney design and modified headlight elements. Back then, it was supposed to embody a combination of retro look and modern design. Here, too, the two openings extend significantly further towards the street, but they are still a good size smaller than on the current 4 Series. Hartge called the conversion the “BMW Hartge E63 Signature Edition” and at that time sold quite respectable numbers, especially to Dubai.

also available for the M6 or the convertible

With the BMW Hartge M6 E63 of the Signature Edition, however, it also became clear that the German tuner has a penchant for the extraordinary that has not always proven itself in this country. The body kit also included a small spoiler and large rims. Incidentally, the vehicle in silver is the Hartge 645Ci 5.1. The 6 Series, also called the Hartge 6, was presented at the 2005 Essen Motor Show and even received extensive changes to the V8 vacuum cleaner. The got a displacement expansion to 5100 ccm³ as well as a new crankshaft, pistons, connecting rods and new software. The result was instead of 367 stately 420 HP (313,2 kW) and an impressive torque of 520 NM. Hartge also installed new chassis components including a lowering by 30 millimeters (Vehicles without a dynamic drive system received a set of stabilizers) and the already mentioned in-house wheelset in 21 inches.

The wheelset was equipped with Continental or Pirelli tires in the format 255 / 30-21 and 295 / 25-21 and there was also a high-performance brake system (Eight-piston fixed caliper, internally ventilated, floating and perforated 380 mm discs) for the coupe, which weighs almost 1,7 tons. It continued with new stainless steel silencers, each with two tailpipes on both sides, and in the interior the customer enjoyed high-quality materials made of leather and aluminum (Handbrake handle, gear lever, pedals) as well as a leather sports steering wheel that optionally received carbon inserts. The Hartge 300Ci 0 was rounded off with a speedometer extension to 100 km / h and a sprint time from 4,9 to 290 km / h in 645 seconds with a top speed of 5.1 km / h. Incidentally, all changes including an increase in performance were also made for the top model, the M6. Have fun looking at the pictures and stay true to us!
