Just now we have about the BR-Performance BMW 335d berichtet. With an increase in performance to 388 PS and a crazy 823 NM, the tuner impressively showed what the diesel engine is capable of. And almost at the same time Shiftech from Lyon has a BMW E54 30i Touring equipped with an N3B91 six-cylinder 335l engine on site and proves that the petrol version is definitely not inferior to the diesel. The increase in performance includes, among other things, new turbochargers, new downpipes, a BMC sports air filter, a new intercooler and of course chip tuning and a few other changes such as reinforced valves. The result is a whopping 412 PS and 575 NM torque! The torque is well below that of the 335d mentioned above (which is also common for a gasoline engine) but that is what it is for PS Yield even higher. With 412 hp, the 335i puts more power to the test than a BMW E39 M5, which a few years ago was the top model in the upper middle class. Visually, the three could also be declared as a typical wolf in sheep's clothing. Apart from a subtle lowering and a set of black kidneys, there is not really a difference to the good production model. The 335 with over 400PS is sure to cause some surprises.   • new intercooler
  • new turbocharger
  • Valves etc. reinforced
  • Performance increase from 306PS & 400NM to 412PS & 575NM - (chip tuning)
  • possibly a sports exhaust system (more information is not available)
