Last Thursday we have a clearly modified BMW F26 X4 35i with 380PS from the Chinese tuner EDO Tuning vorgestellt and showed you that tasteful tuning is also possible in China at any time. The X4 had received a lot of high-quality accessories such as an AP brake system or many BMW M Performance Parts. And the company recently put another vehicle online on its website. The basis this time was a BMW F15 X5 35i that hardly stands out from its big brother, the F85 X5M, visually and in terms of performance. The X5 was delivered from the factory without the typical M-Sport package bumpers, which EDO changed immediately. For this purpose, the distinctive sports package bumpers with their large air openings were installed at the front and rear. In addition, there were a lot of M Performance Parts. A carbon front spoiler was installed on the front bumper and a diffuser at the rear was also made of the lightweight material.
EDO Tuning also attached the complete fenders of the X5M to the 35i and gave them a set of black gills. The front also received the often installed black kidneys included X5M logo. In view of the extensive increase in performance, that is not even that far. But more on that in a moment ... The exterior mirrors installed here also come from the X5M and can be recognized by their 2 bars. In terms of performance, a lot has also happened because the tuner installed an FI downpipe, Mtek chip tuning software, an ER tuning charge air pipe and a high-quality ARMA cold air intake system. The increase in performance is rounded off by a BMW M Performance sports exhaust system with tailpipes in series optics. Another highlight are certainly the new Vorsteiner VFN505 forged wheels in 21 inches behind which a completely modified brake system is hidden.
The brake system consists of golden brake calipers from the current BMW M4 F82 Coupé which are supplemented by large Brembo brake discs. The brake discs are 430mm in size at the front and 380mm on the rear axle, and the discs are also perforated at both the front and rear. The set-up is rounded off by a KW coilover kit variant 3. Like the X4 mentioned above, the X5 is also proof that there is plenty of taste in China and that the times of bling-bling and huge spoilage are slowly but surely coming to an end.
