BMW F87 M2 Coupe on HRE Classic 300 forged wheels!

Everything is waiting for the new BMW M3 / M4! Countless renderings, supposed leaks and speculation are currently circulating on the net. For the first time, however, very few people are interested in the technology that will be introduced compared to its predecessor, rather everyone wants to know what kind of design the front area will bring with it in terms of the hotly debated kidneys. How big are they really, how big is the difference compared to a "normal" 4-series coupe or the 3-series etc. In the course of the discussions, the M2 F87 hardly seems to exist anymore. And they are currently even less interested in the successor than the M2 G87! But the current M2 is also soon to be replaced. And slowly but surely, the first information about his successor is seeping through.

BMW M2 G87 with approx. 450 hp?

And this should definitely remain true to the basic values of the first M2, but at the same time make everything even better. It goes without saying that the M4 G82 will serve as a technology supplier in many respects. And the British AutoCar is of the opinion that only the twin-turbo in-line six-cylinder S58 with an output of 480 to 510 hp will be considered for the new M2. In the 2022 model, however, it should be throttled to around 420-450 hp. And maybe a "Competition model“Yes even in the direction of 475-500 hp. However, there is currently no reliable information. With the drive, however, you are sure of it. The M2 G87 will not have xDrive all-wheel drive but will have a manual 6-speed manual transmission or, alternatively, a revised ZF eight-speed automatic. And the lack of all-wheel drive M xDrive should probably not really bother most of them, after all, it also keeps the curb weight down.

all in black and lots of carbon

The technical cornerstones of the M2 should basically fit and guarantee a driving experience of a special kind again. That, the current M2 F87, however, still represents a state-of-the-art sports device and does not require a transfer, is demonstrated by this copy from the Tuner Wheels Boutique. The Coupé from South Florida, painted in black-sapphire-metallic-black, shows itself with noble carbon parts IN and AN on the front apron, there were carbon sill swords, an aggressive carbon rear diffuser with additional brake light and a small carbon rear spoiler is installed. The absolute highlight of the visual changes is definitely the forged HRE Classic 300 wheelset in 20 inches (20 × 9,5 and 20 × 10,5). The three-piece aluminum rim is built in a combination of gloss black and matt black, and this even applies to the HRE logo. This is also completely in black and not colored as usual.

Akrapovic exhaust system made of titanium

Incidentally, the wheelset is equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires in sizes 255/30/20 and 295/30/20. And the performance has also been tampered with. There was an Eventuri air intake system for the M2, Turner Motorsport cathedral struts made of carbon, an exhaust system from Akrapovic made of titanium with carbon tailpipes, downpipes without catalytic converter from Evolution Racewerks and chip tuning that combines all components. And finally there were a few changes in the cabin. Here you limit yourself to adding a lot of carbon, which can even be seen on the steering column and the clasp of the BMW M Performance steering wheel. A perfect sports device that many M4 drive around the ears. If we receive timely information about further changes, there is of course an update for this report.
