BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé "DCL DÄHler Competition Line"!

The new BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé, which was launched as a competitor to the Mercedes CLA and the Audi A3 Sedan, is increasingly becoming an absolute bestseller. Of course, this does not leave the tuning scene unaffected, and the Swiss tuner DÄHler Competition (Dähler Design & Technik GmbH) the small Bavarian limousine has now taken on. With its distinctive and sporty design, which in our opinion takes some getting used to at the rear, the 2 Series Gran Coupé is conquering the hearts of young, car enthusiastic men and women.

Subtly tuned BMW with aha effect.

Sporty and at the same time very discreet it stands there, the little BMW, with its gray paintwork and the black kidneys, which still show the old BMW design, and do not look like a mixture of heart and coffin grill, on understatement makes, but in reality it has a slyly under the hood. But we will come to that later, because it is noticeable that both the brake calipers painted in blue and the original BMW rims on the first (and also on the second) Look not at all suggest that the 2 Series Gran Coupé is not a production model. However, a very discreet rear spoiler and a 2-pipe stainless steel exhaust system "built by DÄHLer" were installed. The exhaust system is a completely new development from DÄHLer, which is rounded off by the ceramic-coated DÄHLer tailpipes with a diameter of 114 mm.

According to the manufacturer, the exhaust system is not only convincing visually, but also when driving, and impresses with its exceptional quality. This is guaranteed to attract a lot of attention on the boulevards of the big cities, as the sound is unmistakable and definitely doesn't have to hide from the competition from Mercedes-AMG or Hyundai's N-Division. The DÄHLer 2 series would also cut a fine figure at every tuning meeting. And if that's not enough, you can also use the “DRL DÄHLer race line” with CAN bus controlled exhaust flaps. However, it is only intended for club sport events and track days as it is not approved. And, of course, the 20-inch in-house forged wheel of the "DÄHLer CDC1 FORGED" type also fits the F44 Limo. Especially when you lower the 2 series discreetly using a performance coilover kit or a sport spring set (both “built by DÄHLer”).

Performance enhancement set "powered by DÄHLer"

As standard, the 2-liter four-cylinder turbo gasoline engine already offers a generous 306 hp and a hefty 450 Newton meters of maximum torque. However, DÄHLer thought that these performance data were not enough and optimized the turbo engine to 348 PS and 500 Newton meters including WLTP-E6d-temp test and the upgrade is also EU / CH homologated. In addition, the standard V / max limitation of 250 km / h was lifted, and the little Bavaria was given free space to run at up to 265 kilometers per hour. Unfortunately, we don't know how long the sprint from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour will take, but it should be completed faster than the production vehicle, which takes 4,9 seconds to do it. Converted as a percentage, that is about 13 percent increase in performance and that should definitely be noticeable, especially since you can now show the taillights of electronically sealed cars on the motorway. We are of the opinion that particularly sporty drivers should resort to the DÄhler performance enhancement kit, because with the standard 306 PS, the M235i xDrive Gran Coupé falls behind when you compare it with the competition from Stuttgart and Ingolstadt, which partly have an additional performance of has over 100 hp.

Is the M235i xDrive Gran Coupé the right vehicle?

If you are a sound fetishist who places great value on a discreet look, then the dÄhler-2er is just right. The vehicle is also something for you if you like to push the tube on the motorway and enjoy the joy of driving. If you want a 2 Series Gran Coupé as a project car, then you have to dig deep into your pocket. Nothing goes below 40.000 euros.
