Once again, the suspension professionals of MR A great job: The height-adjustable H&R spring systems are now available for almost the entire model range of the current BMW 5 Series (F10 / F11) series. It doesn't matter whether the Munich-based company comes with xDrive or without, and it doesn't matter whether you own a sedan or a touring, petrol or diesel. Good to know: Vehicles with electronic damper control can also use the H&R coil springs. H&R is known to be the supplier of the BMW Motorsport Teams in the DTM and there it is almost a “duty” to elicit improved dynamics from the models from Munich. When installing the coil springs, the original BMW dampers are retained and the electronically controlled variant can still be used without restrictions. A questionable shutdown of the system is when installing H&R coil springs not required! If the springs are installed, the vehicle height can be infinitely adjusted. There is always enough residual travel available so that driving comfort close to series production is ensured.

The lowering is 40 to 55 millimeters at the front and 30 to 50 millimeters at the rear. Visually, this is shown by the perfected position of the wheels in the wheelhouses and the coil springs are also technically advantageous. The center of gravity of the vehicle moves down and the driving dynamics are significantly improved. In addition, the 5 Series has a reduced tendency to roll and has improved steering behavior and better cornering. Regardless of the coil springs, there are still H&R sport springs, coilovers, sport stabilizers and "TRAK +" wheel spacers for the perfect alignment of series or retrofit wheels on the wheel arch edges. As always, all H&R components are 100 percent "Made in Germany" and always come with a parts certificate. H&R HVF systems / coil springs are only available from selected H&R sales partners.
