Safe tuning beyond the series! With the police BMW i4 by AC Schnitzer as a concept vehicle, the Aachen-based tuning company is significantly involved in the TUNE IT! SAFE! 2022/2023 involved. Faster than the police allow - This applies to the concept vehicles of the TUNE IT initiative! SAFE! of course just as little as for any other vehicle! For the past 17 years, a vehicle in the original police design has been presented here every year, which complies with the roadworthy regulations of the law enforcement officers. The campaign, supported by the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, uses the nationwide campaign to draw attention to safe tuning and shows what is possible in tuning if road approval regulations are observed. Of course, the campaign is financed exclusively by sponsors.
Police BMW i4 by AC Schnitzer
For the eighth time, the Aachen-based tuning company AC Schnitzer has played a key role in the flagship model for safe tuning. The all-electric BMW i4 by AC Schnitzer meets all the requirements for a dynamic, powerful and sporty appearance while at the same time complying with regulations and taking sustainability aspects into account. The fact that AC Schnitzer is also a competent partner for increasing driving dynamics and driving fun with electric vehicles is not only shown by the meanwhile extensive ranges for hybrid and electric vehicles. The tuners from Aachen were able to gain their first experience with a "electric vehicle" 12 years ago, because the TUNE IT! SAFE! Vehicle equipped with the Electric Police MINI by AC Schnitzer.
In the following we present you the overall concept of the TUNE IT! SAFE police BMW i4 by AC Schnitzer, but at the same time also the AC Schnitzer program that is available and homologated for the i4.
AC Schnitzer aerodynamics
- The aerodynamic package from AC Schnitzer alone makes the heart of every tuning fan beat faster and the downforce values increase: front spoiler elements, front splitter, front side wings, the AC Schnitzer design package side (2 elements per side), rear roof spoiler, carbon rear spoiler, rear side Wings and the AC Schnitzer rear apron protective film to round off the look bring motorsport feeling onto the road.
AC Schnitzer chassis
- The road is not far away from the driver due to the AC Schnitzer suspension spring set (lowering: front / rear: each approx. 20 - 25 mm compared to the standard suspension) and ensures optimal road and cornering position.
AC Schnitzer rims
- The AC Schnitzer wheel set with AC4 Flow Forming rims BiColor Silver/Black (front: 8,5J x 20″ with Hankook Ventus S1 evo 3 tires in 255/35 R 20 and rear: 9,5J x 20″ with in 265/35 R 20) stands for technically modern design, as does the interior of the concept vehicle.
AC Schnitzer interior
- AC Schnitzer aluminum pedals, aluminum footrest, aluminum cover "Black Line" for i-Drive system controller and aluminum key holder not only pass every police check, but also every design check.
The BMW i4 by AC Schnitzer received the police's special signaling system from Hella. The official FOLIATEC foil decoration and the SECURLUX security foil in the side windows complete the original police outfit. The approval of the AC Schnitzer special parts for road traffic is a central goal in the development of new components. Everyone at TUNE IT! SAFE! Police BMW i4 by AC Schnitzer parts are tested accordingly. Thus, the current concept vehicle of the TUNE IT! SAFE! below all road approval regulations, but - as usual with AC Schnitzer - beyond any series!
