BMW i4 M50 from BMW & Kith shows new cooperation!

More than just electrically charged: The BMW i4 M50 is not only the first fully electric M automobile, but also the second BMW M vehicle that the New York designer Ronnie Fieg has designed exclusively as part of the cooperation between his brand Kith and BMW M GmbH - outside and inside. Only seven models of the BMW i4 M50 by Kith will be produced for the public. One of these is the only vehicle to be auctioned off to a global audience as part of this collaboration. To commemorate this strictly limited edition, Kith is offering a 51-piece collection of clothing and accessories in its global stores and online, inspired by the colors of the Kith Vitality Green vehicle paint and the BMW Individual Caramel Merino leather.

Symbol of BMW's transformation into the electric age.

In the year of the fiftieth anniversary of BMW M, a historic vehicle bridges the gap between the past and the electrified present. As a BMW enthusiast, Ronnie Fieg also turns a 1972 BMW 1602 into a contemporary electric car. A homage to history: At the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, two BMW 1602s that had been converted into electric cars were used by the organizing committee as escort and camera cars for various long-distance competitions. The beginning of a pioneering, forward-looking development of electrified vehicles at BMW.

The BMW Group will leave the unique 1972 BMW 1602 Elektro by Ronnie Fieg to the designer. He already has an impressive collection of BMW vehicles, which includes an iconic BMW E30 M3 by Kith from the first season of the collaboration. Ronnie Fieg's passion for BMW was kindled as a child by his grandfather - the cooperation with BMW M has brought him full circle. He founded his label Kith in 2011. The collaboration between the brands BMW and Kith began in 2020 with the design of a BMW M4 Competition Coupé by Ronnie Fieg. The 150 examples of the exclusive BMW M4 Competition x Kith were sold out in less than thirty minutes.

The combination of sportiness and aesthetics.

The success of the first brand cooperation with Kith led to this second edition, which focuses on electromobility. As the first all-electric M model, the BMW i4 M50 can rightly be called a “brand shaper”. It has the coveted M DNA and, as a BEV, shows the responsible direction in which BMW is developing. The 1972 BMW 1602 tells the story of the very first electrified BMW, launched 50 years ago and relating to the brand's high-performance segment. With its sportiness, the lifestyle and streetwear label Kith is an excellent match for BMW M. With his design, Ronnie Fieg gives the two models a new aesthetic.

BMW logo goes kith vitality green.

For the first time ever, BMW is naming a new color after a brand partner: Kith Vitality Green is a rich, dark green that is only available as part of this exclusive cooperation and not as a standard color. New merged logos are a hallmark of the various Kith partnerships with world-renowned companies. Two years ago, BMW changed its brand emblem for a cooperation partner for the first time. This time, too, the well-known BMW emblem has been varied again: in the color Kith Vitality Green, another ring has been placed around the trademark that adorns the bonnet of the BMW i4 M50 by Kith. The green ring contains the partnership, model and year of manufacture, as well as the designation of the electric car. The logo on the hood of the 1972 BMW 1602 Elektro by Ronnie Fieg looks different again: the letters BMW have been swapped for Kith. Such a logo in black and white with the signature electric car can be found in the BWM i4 M50 by Kith as a cup holder lid engraving.

Interior goes caramel.

Kith Vitality Green is the color in which all vehicles in the cooperation are painted. Elegant green on the outside, full-grain merino leather in the color caramel on the inside. In the 1972 BMW 1602 Elektro by Ronnie Fieg, the leather on the seats is embossed with the Kith lettering, as are leather inserts in the footwells of the driver and front passenger. The logo changed from BMW to Kith can be found on the centering holes of the rims.

The interior of the BMW i4 M50 by Kith in caramel is also particularly harmoniously coordinated. Knee pads, steering column, seat and side panels as well as A and B pillars are lined with merino leather. The floor mats are also bordered with caramel-colored leather at the front and rear and embroidered with the M logo changed to Kith and the M stripes. Kith lettering in a box design is embossed on the headrests and on the front center armrest. The lettering "KITH Exclusive Edition" was laser engraved into the trim.

Technology and luxury of the limited edition.

The technology is adopted from the BMW i4 M50, which combines the innovative power of BMW M with that of BMW i for the first time. The BMW i4 M50, with its fully electric drive powered by two BMW M eDrive motors, develops a powerful 400 kW (544 hp) in Sport Boost mode and offers dynamics typical of BMW M in a previously unknown form, which takes it in 3,9 seconds accelerated from 0 to 100 km/h. It drives with zero local emissions and has a range of up to 520 kilometers according to WLTP. As the first purely electric Gran Coupé from BMW M, this extraordinary vehicle creates its own class and impresses with its remarkable suitability for everyday use thanks to its long range, luxurious space and intelligent networking.

In addition to the standard equipment of the BMW i4 M50 and the specific scope of the Kith cooperation, the model is equipped with some other special equipment as standard. In addition to the adaptive M suspension, these include the M sport brakes with red brake calipers, the M aerodynamics package and the BMW Shadow Line individual lighting system. The Professional and Plus driver assistants also contribute to the luxurious driving experience, as do the electric sliding glass sunroof, fine-grain oak wood appointments and the M high-gloss Schadowline exterior trim strips. The equipment is rounded off with the Harman/Kardon Surround Sound audio system, which accompanies the joy and the driving experience in the BMW i4 M50 by Kith with the perfect sound.
