The BMW fan base agrees that the new F40 BMW 1 Series compared to the F20 predecessor - in terms of propulsion - took a step backwards. Not only did the fantastic B58B30 six-cylinder from the M140i, or at least the N55B30 from the M135i, not be further developed, the compact one was even missed front-wheel drive. Not in the M135i top model, it is known to have xDrive, but who actually has one pretty interesting 128ti wants to call his own, he has to go with the front driven axle put up with. And so it is that the new generation follows the old M135i not can drive away and has no chance at all against the 340 hp "old" M140i. So why buy the new one? Because he has huge kidneys? Because he has a live cockpit? In our opinion, buy a XNUMX with a prefixed “M” because of its six-cylinder engine and the unrivaled driving experience in this class due to the rear-wheel drive.
650 PS BMW M135i with Airride!
And that's exactly what Ray Venter really wanted to experience. That is why he bought a 135i from the F20 series and shows with extensive tuning that the 3-liter six-cylinder in particular simply belongs in the Golf opponents from Munich. Ray modified the engine by means of a Precision 6062 turbocharger with ball bearings, the boost pressure is regulated by a TiAL 60 mm wastegate and a 100 mm air intake system, a BMS charge air cooler, a BMS charge pipe and HC Performance Bootmod3 chip tuning installed. The result is a stately 1,3 hp at approx. 550 bar boost pressure and if the boost pressure is raised to 1,9 bar, even a crazy 650 hp are available. And we're still talking about one here BMW 1er! The heavily modified six-cylinder is acoustically noticeable thanks to the 86 mm sports exhaust system (Megalodon performance system) from DCM Customs and even a Cooling Mist Stage 2 Kit including direct methanol injection is installed. And also visually Ray has taken care of the ones. However, in contrast to the increase in performance, it is much more subtle.
3H management of air lift performance
The most striking feature is definitely the heavy lowering using the Airride air suspension. Feffer Customs (ArtAir by Art Suspension System) an Airride that was installed by Strat at FS Projects and the heart of which is a 3H management from Air Lift Performance. All components such as the air lift lines, the 4 gallon tank and the Viair 444C compressor were in the trunk Powerful car audio installed and the tank is even painted individually by Motoart. On the body of the one, a spoiler lip from Maxton can be seen at the front, there were black M-Performance kidneys, Maxton side skirts and a roof spoiler made of carbon can be seen at the rear. In the wheel arches, polished BMW OEM rims rotate in the dimensions 19 × 8,5 inches with 225 / 35R19 tires at the front and 19 × 9,5 inch rims with 255 / 30R19 tires at the rear.
with BMW Performance seats
And the M135i's cabin is just as subtle. Sporty BMW Performance seats are installed here, there was an M-Performance steering wheel, a carbon gear knob with a carbon center console and there were CoolingMist displays to monitor the boost pressure. In addition, the OEM shift paddles have been swapped for those from an F80 M3 and the interior is presented in an elegant and sporty way. With a few other smaller details such as the carbon BMW emblem front and rear or the slightly darkened taillights, the extremely potent one is impressively rounded off. Hello,
what is the rim drawing of the original rims of the BMW M135i from the report. Unfortunately I can't find anything on the web. ^^. A very nice car. I would be very happy about an answer.
