Even almost 3 years after the market launch of the F40 series of the 1-series BMW, the fan community cannot get used to the front-wheel drive and the four-cylinder engine range. Although the 306 hp B48A20T1 of the M135i is coupled to the xDrive all-wheel drive, not many are really happy with it. After all, real BMWs are rear-wheel drive, or at least have rear-biased four-wheel drive, and they have a six-cylinder engine under the hood. Things the F40 lacks, the predecessor as M140i but had. And the F20 from the pictures was even equipped with a few upgrades from G-Power. The result is a massive 500 PS & 660 Nm of torque, which only weighs approx. 1.500 kg.

The Wolf in Sheep's Clothing got a turbo upgrade, new downpipes, a sports exhaust system and a software remap (chip tuning). And on request, G-Power also eliminates the electronic V-Max limitation directly. Visually, the engine compartment is garnished with some orange and a G-Power logo. With the upgrade is the M140i clearly superior to a standard Mercedes-AMG A 45 S or the Audi RS 3 Sportback and the lack of all-wheel drive could be a disadvantage.

Unfortunately, G-Power has the new ones Acceleration times not announced, but we reckon the M140i will likely be in the range of 4,0 seconds, or even slightly less, for the 0 to 100 km/h sprint. The series requires 4,4 seconds with xDrive and 4,6 seconds with rear-wheel drive for this discipline. He is driven M140i from the factory by the 3,0-liter six-cylinder, which is coupled to an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission from ZF. The engine delivers a whopping 340 PS & 500 Nm of torque in the standard condition.

Incidentally, something has also changed optically M140i done from the pictures. At the front there is an M-Performance kidney, there were G-Power emblems front / rear and also the in-house HURRICANE RR wheelset in format. A lowering is also installed. However, we have no further information on the dimensions of the rims or the lowering. We know some of the tuning prices for this. Upgrading the turbocharger costs well over €3.000, plus the GP-500 software for around €3.400 and the sports downpipes and exhaust system cost over €2.000 and €2.700 respectively. If we get more information, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed about this if you simply use our Feed subscribe to. Have fun watching the pictures and stay true to us!
