A BMW M2 is probably the model from Munich that is currently on the market with the purest BMW DNA at all. Rear-wheel drive, compact dimensions, a lot of power and a low weight make the 2 Series a driving machine of the purest water, which of course is extremely popular with the BMW fan scene. The design is also pleasingly restrained and dispenses with the giant heart-shaped kidneys, which are currently so controversial. Even the successor to the current M2 will in all likelihood remain a real BMW, and neither move to the front-wheel drive platform nor get an oversized would-be Lexus grill. Thus, the successor to the current model, which internally listens to the factory code F87, is likely to remain the darling of the BMW fan base and cause a sensation worldwide. Like this model, which was refined by a Beijing tuner, which we present to you today.

It doesn't take a lot of modifications to turn an M2 Competition into a real eye-catcher. At least it proves that this tuner, which only made a few minor changes, implemented them perfectly. The first thing you notice is the black-tinted headlights, which together with the black body form a perfect symbiosis. In addition, RAYS rims with the designation G2 were mounted on the M025, which of course are also completely black in order to generate the perfect interplay of the black tones. A built-in KW V4 coilover kit ensures the appropriate depth, transforming the already sporty M2 Competition into a real low-flying aircraft. On the other hand, the exhaust system and body remained standard, but modifications are not even necessary. Unnecessary flaps, wings and spoilers would only turn the M2 into a craft shack, as unfortunately happens to many conspecifics. Only the taillights were tinted black in order to leave a bad impression when standing. In addition, a carbon diffuser from M-Performance was attached to the rear, but it is so discreet that it cannot be recognized without a closer look.

Interior with slight modifications

In order to also demonstrate the necessary sportiness in the interior, the tuner thought that an interior with a carbon look would be ideal. The center console as well as the area around the i-Drive controller and the automatic selector lever received a small carbon treatment, which creates an even sportier impression in the cockpit.

The engine has remained almost as standard.

Nothing was changed on the in-line six-cylinder biturbo gasoline engine, except that a BMC high-flow air filter was installed in the engine compartment. So it could well be possible that this specimen has a few horses more than the stated 410 hp. The maximum torque of 550 Newton meters is also not bad, and the performance speaks volumes. The version with the DKG gearbox sprints to 4,2 km / h in just 100 seconds, and with the optional driver's package, the shift is only in the shaft at 280 km / h. Thus, the M2 is ideally suited for the left lane of the autobahn, and you can use it to show the taillights to any car that is cordoned off at 250 kilometers per hour.

This M2, which is doing its rounds in China, makes it clear that both China tuning and BMW tuning have changed significantly in recent years. (Almost) over is the time of the weird handicraft stalls and the deliberate but not skillful looking embarrassments when you look at the perfectly staged specimen.
