"M stands for Motorsport"

"M stands for motorsport - we underline this with the new BMW M2 CS Racing MotoGP™ Safety Car," says Franciscus van Meel, Managing Director of BMW M GmbH. “BMW M GmbH combines high-performance series automobiles and motorsport under one roof. That's why we chose a racing car from our portfolio of BMW M Motorsport racing vehicles for the new MotoGP™ Safety Car, in keeping with our 50th birthday. The BMW M2 CS Racing is successful in a wide variety of championships worldwide - and as a thoroughbred racing car it is also perfectly suited to leading the field in the premier class of motorcycle racing as a safety car. We're looking forward to our 24th season as the 'Official Car of MotoGP™' and to seeing the BMW M2 CS Racing in action as a safety car for the first time at the season opener in Qatar.”

We congratulate BMW M on its 50th birthday and look forward to a new, exciting season together.”
