Munich. From the 2021 season, BMW M Motorsport, in cooperation with the company tolimit, will introduce a BMW M2 Cup as part of the DTM's supporting program. In 2, the BMW M2021 Cup will host a total of twelve races over six DTM weekends on the following racetracks: the Norisring (GER), the Lausitzring (GER), the Nürburgring (GER), the Red Bull Ring (AUT), in Assen ( NED) and Hockenheim (GER). The most successful drivers are given the opportunity to complete subsidized races in other BMW racing vehicles in the following years. On the one hand, this can apply to customer sports, but on the other hand, they can also bring themselves into the focus of the BMW Junior Team, which will be launched in 2020. As an additional platform, the BMW M2 Cup expands the range of candidates from which those responsible at BMW Motorsport can select new members for future BMW Junior Teams.

The central preparation, including the technical skills of the BMW M Motorsport certified dealers, as well as the approval of the vehicles before each event clearly emphasize what this one-make cup is all about: driver training and the promotion of individual skills.
