The BMW is still fixed this year (probably in the coming month - April) will launch an M2 Competition. The key data is very interesting because in addition to the S55 engine from the M4 (in M2 with 410 PS) should the M2 also be available as a six-speed manual switch or with surcharge seven-speed DKG. Besides four standard colors, it should Hockenheim silver and Sunset orange have made in the color palette and other external changes are probably 19 Zöller, additional flaps and with high probability a fixed rear spoiler. But all information is rather to be considered with restraint because something really tangible BMW has not yet said.
No desire for the waiting had apparently the team of IND distribution in the style of an M4 GTS have a current M2 rebuilt exactly as we want the M2 Competition. In addition, the coupe gets a carbon spoiler lip from 3D design which is installed on the standard front bumper. The highlight seen from the front, but definitely the new carbon hood which is particularly aggressive with three large air vents and M4 Style Powerdome. The side section is underlined with approaches for the side skirts that also come from 3D design and this also applies to the sporty rear diffuser and the fixed carbon rear wing.
The high-quality carbon aerodynamic parts are set off in chic orange and thus strongly reminiscent of the M4 GTS which brings these accents from the factory. If we are properly informed, there was also one RKP carbon roof and also changes under the bonnet as well as on the chassis, there was. When the chassis was decided on a coilover suspension from the house KW suspension which is fully adjustable and pushes the M2 clearly towards the road. On the other hand, no information was given on the wheel set installed here, we would have to guess we would type BBS FI-R rims in 19 inch format.
An information that is reliable, however, comes with respect to the exhaust system because here it was decided to have a system from the house Eisenmann Exhausts which provides an adequate soundscape with chic tailpipes including carbon coating. And of course the performance of the M2 was not left untouched and so it comes with an Eventuri carbon intake system and other changes well above the level of the standard 370 PS.
Much more there is due to the little information that we have, however, not to say so that we leave it for the time being in the pictures. Maybe there will be some information about the M2 soon afterwards and if this should be the case, of course, there will be an update for this report. - Sport exhaust system (Eisenmann Exhaust with carbon sheathing for the tailpipes)
