For fresh air fanatics who want to enjoy a screeching, metallic pounding V8 sound, but don't have the money to buy a Ferrari with a V8 vacuum cleaner, the best choice is to opt for an E3 generation BMW M93 convertible. The sound is infernal and still inspires a lot of respect today. Especially in times when gasoline engines are getting quieter due to increasingly strict emission regulations, and the (synthetic) sound experience usually only comes from the sound generator comes is such a High-speed V8 naturally aspirated gasoline engine, as it was installed in the BMW M3 of the E9x generation, a pleasant change that makes the hearts of many car fans beat faster. We would now like to introduce you to a M3 Cabriolet that is doing its laps in China. The tuning company Ignition performance demonstrates their skills, and has probably put a unique BMW M3 on the wheels.

An M3 for carbon fans.

At first glance it becomes clear that this BMW is peppered with carbon parts as far as the eye can see. Not only the Carbon bonnet with the mighty air intakes in the style of a Dodge Viper, but also the lower part of the front is bursting with carbon elements. Of the front spoiler of the car as well as the entire front apron look like they're made entirely of carbon fiber. On the Michelin Cup 2 tires wurden BBS rims type E88 Motorsport raised. The multi-part 18-inch rims are in classic silver and have a convex loft look.

The side skirts and the Trunk lid trim also look like they're made entirely of carbon fiber during the Carbon diffuser a fat one Four pipe exhaust system by Akrapovic, which is classically arranged. One cannot imagine how the naturally aspirated V8 gasoline engine with the sports exhaust system might sound. A CDM-Style rump spoiler must of course not be missing, although in our eyes this overshoots the mark. For a deeper look, of course, a KW-V3 coilover kit installed, which pushes the 3 Series even further towards the asphalt. Equipped in this way, the Bavarian convertible almost requires a gun license and would be an absolute crowd puller at every BMW meeting.

3D design interiors are eye-catching.

Various parts of the interior come from 3D design for use. Among other things, the pedals, the hand brake and the footrest. In addition, the carbon look of the outer skin was also used in the Center console picked up. Otherwise the cockpit remained unchanged and no major modifications were made.

4-liter V8 suction gasoline engine gives you goose bumps.

The convertible is powered by the S65B40 V8 suction gasoline engine with 420 PS and relatively humble 400 Newton meter maximum torque. Based on the figures, you can already see that it is an extremely high-revving naturally aspirated engine that only develops its full power in the upper speed range. The sound of the engine is addictive to car fans and makes environmentalists freak out. But the performance is also impressive, as the M3 in 4,9 seconds sprints from 0 to 100 km / h, and the propulsion only when sealed off 250 km/h ends. In this car, the power is transmitted via an SMG transmission with seven speed levels.

Our conclusion on this BMW M3 Cabriolet:

He may look very martial, and that Rump spoiler at the rear is certainly not to everyone's taste, but this M3 Cabriolet is the ideal vehicle to let the wind blow around your nose and hair on a brisk drive on the motorway.
