The strictly limited special models BMW M3 CSL (E46), M3 GTS (E92) and M4 GTS (F82) are an integral part of the BMW M history and are genuine crown jewels of the manufacturer. And the selection just mentioned has it now in a photo shoot of the tuner G-Power made. And of course not without reason! All three vehicles have a performance upgrade from G-Power. Both the S5432HP 3,2-liter in-line six-cylinder engine in the M3 CSL and the S65B40 4,0-liter V8 high-speed engine in the M3 GTS now have more power. Both are classic vacuum cleaners and only the M4 GTS of the F82 series is an exception here. This comes with the S55B30 bi-turbo 3,0-liter in-line six-cylinder and even has water injection on board. In-line engine, V8 aspirator with high-speed concept or forced ventilator bi-turbo engine -> No problem for G-Power.

The tuner has developed completely independent concepts and thus achieves sometimes exorbitant increases in performance. The naturally aspirated engines of the two M3s received a compressor and the M4 GTS had a combination of chip tuning, a new turbocharger and an optimized exhaust system. In figures, this means an increase of 3 PS & 46 Nm to 360 PS (370 kW) and 475 NM with the M349 CSL (E470) thanks to the supercharger system and the M3 GTS (E92) comes from 450 PS & 440 NM due to the G-Power supercharger system to strong 650 PS (478 kW) and 630 NM torque. The spearhead is in any case the M4 GTS (F82) which is strengthened with performance software V4, new exhaust system and new turbos from 500 PS and 600 NM to a huge 680 PS (500 kW) and 860 NM. Of course, G-POWER is not only interesting for “M pilots”. The tuner has a performance upgrade for practically all current BMW models with petrol or diesel engines (whether 116d or M760i) and also for the performance vehicles from Mercedes-AMG.

Thomas Wachsmuth - He has been an integral part of tuningblog.eu since 2013. His passion for cars is so intense that he invests every available penny in them. While he dreams of a BMW E31 850CSI and a Hennessey 6x6 Ford F-150, he currently drives a rather inconspicuous BMW 540i (G31/LCI). His collection of books, magazines and brochures on the subject of car tuning has now reached such proportions that he himself has become a walking reference work for the tuning scene.  More about Thomas
