Besides so-called every timers are also the Restomods extremely popular. No matter which variant you choose, in any case you get a car with the look of yesteryear. And for fans of the BMW brand is probably the legendary E30 M3 one of the absolute highlights. And that's exactly what the British tuner has Redux lightweight construction presented as Restomod project with a beautiful copy in black. The vehicle should not remain a single piece because you are planning a limited edition of 30 custom built Restomod vehicles. Incidentally, the inspiration for the conversion comes from the successful E30 M3 DTM racing car. At that time, the vehicles had good 380 horsepower at crazy 10.000 RPM. significantly more power than the series and that's exactly what company boss Simon Lord wanted in the civil version.

The S14 engine therefore received a turbo conversion. There was also an increase in displacement from 2,3 to 2,5 liters, reinforced pistons and connecting rods, a crankshaft from BMW Motorsport and specially adapted engine electronics. The result is 395 PS & 529 NM which are no problem for the engine. And of course the rest was also adapted to the additional performance. The standard gearbox has been strengthened, there is a new flywheel and an improved two-disc clutch, and the drive and cardan shafts are completely new. The presentation vehicle makes itself heard by means of an individual sports exhaust system including 2 catalytic converters, but on request it is also possible without a catalytic converter and clear volume up.

Lightweight alloy wheels by Cinel on Hoosier slicks

The performance on the road brings a set of Cinel alloy wheels with slicks from Hoosier and this depends on an EXE-TC coilover suspension that can be adjusted in every way individually. By the way, Michelin tires are also available on request. And of course the load wants to be decelerated adequately. This is done by a brake system from AP Racing, which neatly tucks into the current vehicle with 330mm large slotted discs on the front axle in combination with six-piston calipers. On the rear axle there are slotted 304mm discs with 4 piston calipers. And the body has also changed subtly. The entire vehicle was meticulously restored and there were front and rear bumper, front fenders and side skirts made of carbon. Anyone who wants to can even order the roof in carbon and also a carbon bonnet should be available soon.

the classic look of the M3 remains

And finally, the interior is also completely new. The current vehicle shows itself with Recaro bucket seats and lots of brown leather. The steering wheel as well as the A-, B- and C-pillars and also the headliner, on the other hand, are covered with Alcantara in black. There is also an optional roll bar, a removable rear seat and small details such as a gear knob in the style of a golf ball are also included. By the way, our personal highlight is the digital display instead of the analog instruments.

And even an Alpine sound system has found its way into the coupé. All 30 planned vehicles are completely handcrafted and Redux is currently talking about a production time of 18 to 24 months. By the way, we don't know a price for one of the 30 Redux M3s. If we receive timely information about the costs, there will of course be an update for this report, as always. It is best to subscribe to our feed and if there is something new you will be informed immediately. We hope you enjoy looking at the pictures.
