BMW has now officially presented the M340i Touring (G21) xDrive and at the latest at the upcoming IAA in Frankfurt (September 12-22, 2019) the date for the trade fair will be. In essence, however, there are no surprises with regard to the M340i xdrive sedan. The sixth generation of the 3 Series Touring differs from the technically identical saloon from the B-pillar. The station wagon looks particularly good with the L-shaped signature of the rear lights, which are fully equipped with LED technology. As expected, the rear apron has an exhaust system with tailpipes on the right and left and there were also side air openings. As always, the tailgate of the Touring is divided into two parts and the new digital cockpit can be seen in the cabin. The M340i Touring gets the ZF-8HP eight-speed automatic and of course the powerful straight six-cylinder petrol engine with 374 PS & 500 Nm torque.

And also the practical Variant of the M340i will give it only with all-wheel drive. This allows the sprint to 100 km / h in just 4,5 seconds and the maximum speed is electronically limited at 250 km / h. We are curious when the first tuners will provide the B58B30TÜ1 with a chip tuning. The engine is finally what's almost identical (smaller power level) is installed in the new Toyota Supra and in the G29 Z4. For the M340i, we expect the first increases in performance to around 450 hp this year.
This would make the M-Performance model as strong as an F80 M3 Competition and for many an alternative to the C63 AMG or the RS4 Avant. hp We have already seen the factory “only” 340 hp B58B30 with sometimes over 500 hp.
